freshly rooted started with a simple idea — great food begins with great ingredients.

After more than 25 years working as a chef, I’ve seen how much of a difference truly fresh produce can make. Micro herbs, edible flowers, and carefully prepared botanicals don’t just elevate the look of a dish — they bring flavour, balance, and something memorable to the plate.

That’s what led to freshly rooted.

Based in Chester, we grow micro herbs and edible flowers in small batches, alongside producing dried botanicals and powdered blends — all with a focus on flavour, freshness, and quality.

Everything is grown or prepared with care, using a mix of controlled indoor growing and seasonal outdoor methods. Wherever possible, we grow in a way that supports pollinators like bees and butterflies — an essential part of a healthy ecosystem — while keeping things natural and sustainable.
